About Rory Robertson

Exercise Physiologist | Founder, SF Diamond Fitness

With more than 26 years of experience, I bring a lifetime of athletic achievement, education, and professional dedication to helping people live stronger, healthier lives.

My journey began as a nationally recognized high school basketball player, earning a Division I basketball scholarship to the University of Colorado Boulder and later competing professionally. Basketball taught me discipline, perseverance, and the importance of believing in myself—lessons that continue to shape my work today.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Arts in Sports and Fitness Management from the University of San Francisco. I was also inducted into the Napa Valley Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of my athletic achievements.

In 2000, I founded SF Diamond Fitness with a simple philosophy: effective fitness training begins with understanding the individual.

As an Exercise Physiologist, I combine my education, athletic background, and decades of hands-on experience to create personalized programs that build strength, improve balance and mobility, enhance performance, and support lifelong independence.

Whether you're beginning your fitness journey, returning after an injury, or working to remain strong and active as you age, I take the time to understand your needs, abilities, and goals.

Some of my clients have trained with me for more than 25 years. Those lasting relationships reflect what matters most to me: trust, consistency, genuine personal attention, and a commitment to each individual's well-being.

At SF Diamond Fitness, every client matters.

From the Basketball Court to a Lifetime of Fitness

My love of basketball began in childhood and led to a Division I scholarship at the University of Colorado Boulder, followed by opportunities to compete professionally.

Basketball taught me discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and the importance of believing in myself. Those lessons shaped my approach to fitness and continue to influence my work with clients today.

From the basketball court to founding SF Diamond Fitness in 2000, my passion for movement has remained constant. Today, I combine my athletic experience with my education in exercise physiology to help others discover their own strength and potential.

A Little More About Me

When I'm not helping clients stay strong and active, I enjoy spending time with my two pugs, Pebbles and Bam Bam. They bring plenty of personality, laughter, and joy to my life!
